About Katie

My path to becoming an acupuncturist is less of a profound “acupuncture changed my life” and more of a “western medicine didn’t”. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience with the intent to go on to medical school, but the process of doing so eventually felt quite inauthentic to me. It’s not that I dislike western medicine, math and science - I really enjoy and credit those things for all they are worth (which is a lot!), but I truly feel that Eastern medicine is the missing piece of the puzzle for most of us. I genuinely enjoy approaching all pathologies with traditional Chinese theory and think it’s such a refreshing perspective from what we are all used to. That being said, due to my background and certifications, I am most fascinated by cases involving dermatology or neurological conditions. I especially enjoy treating pain because whether it’s chronic or acute, acupuncture works in a way that tends to blow my mind and yours alike, and I never tire of that. I feel so grateful every time I am chosen to be YOUR acupuncturist, and holding unconditional positive regard for you as a patient and earning your respect as a member of your healthcare team is always my utmost priority.

In my spare time, you can find me at concerts (almost every type of music is my jam), my nose in a book, at the gym, or watching any variety of reality TV. If you’re looking for the best-kept-secret mountain dive bars to stop by after your next hike, I’m your girl. It’s all about balance!!

I feel confident that traditional Chinese medicine has given me several tools to address any concerns you may come to acupuncture with. We can incorporate traditional acupuncture, herbal medicine, electric stimulation of acupuncture points, moxibustion, cupping, and other bodywork into your treatments. I look forward to working with you and hope to see you soon!
